- Stretching words: Some of my students are still struggling with this... I'm going to be trying a game created by Deedee Wills as a small group warm-up. I will tell them the word and they will spell it on their white board. I think they're really going to like it! Find it here
- Rhyming (continuing with Dr. Seuss) Lots of I have, who has rhyming, rhyming matching games, and other rhyming activities
- Telling time- Introducing telling time, reading the Grouchy Ladybug by Dr. Seuss, and making ladybug clocks
- Earth Patterns, Cycles, and Change- leave rubbings, examining pinecones, discussing how and why we change over time, etc.
- Past and Present- discussing how transportation, communication, clothing, and games have changed over time.
