A look at the week ahead... and a FREEBIE to come!

This week we will be working on:

  • Stretching words: Some of my students are still struggling with this... I'm going to be trying a game created by Deedee Wills as a small group warm-up. I will tell them the word and they will spell it on their white board. I think they're really going to like it! Find it here
  • Rhyming (continuing with Dr. Seuss) Lots of I have, who has rhyming, rhyming matching games, and other rhyming activities
  • Telling time- Introducing telling time, reading the Grouchy Ladybug by Dr. Seuss, and making ladybug clocks
  • Earth Patterns, Cycles, and Change- leave rubbings, examining pinecones, discussing how and why we change over time, etc.
  • Past and Present- discussing how transportation, communication, clothing, and games have changed over time.
Stay tuned for a FREEBIE April unit... so far it is 48 pages long!

I have a blog!

I've discovered so many awesome blogs over the past few months.  I love being able to see what other teachers are doing in their classrooms.  Thanks so much to all of you who have inspired me! I'm excited about keeping my blog updated with all that goes on in my crazy classroom!
